Greg was admitted as a lawyer in 2008. He has worked at the Fair Work Ombudsman, Australian Government Solicitor, JobWatch Community Legal Centre, and a number of trade unions, including most recently as a Senior Legal Officer at the APESMA.
Greg has twenty years of experience providing industrial advice and helping people resolve their employment issues.
Relevant experience includes:
- Underpayments: Won a substantial back payment for a pharmacist who was underpaid award rates at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Secured back pay for a security guard for six years of unpaid overtime at the Federal Court.
- Breach of Agreement: Obtained an apology and costs from a prominent public service agency at the Federal Court for alleged breach of the enterprise agreement.
- Unfair dismissal: Achieved a large settlement for a scientist demoted in his employment at the Fair Work Commission. Secured a substantial payout at the FWC for an engineer dismissed for alleged poor performance.
- General Protections: Achieved a large settlement for an employee whose employment was terminated immediately after raising OH&S concerns. Obtained a substantial settlement for another employee who was dismissed after raising protected interest disclosures.
- Bullying: Negotiated a large payout for an employee subjected to bullying and harassment.
- Awards: Research and advocacy in relation to work value and gender undervaluation proceedings for the Pharmacy Industry Award 2020 with colleagues at the APESMA in which the Award was increased by 14%.
